Ready to hit the road 1986.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For Some it\u2019s the weekend.&nbsp; For Us it\u2019s research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was an advertising tag line we put together at Trailblazer RV in 2006.\u00a0 It is inspired by the number of staff at Trailblazer RV that enjoy the RV lifestyle.\u00a0 Over my 40 years in the RV industry, I have been able to use various types of RV\u2019s.\u00a0 There is no better way to learn about the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I started in the RV industry in 1982 the tent trailer was the most popular RV.\u00a0 The tent trailer was popular as it offered plenty of sleeping and could be pulled by the family car.\u00a0 Cars could pull 2000lbs.\u00a0 There were very few family trucks.\u00a0 Today the tent trailer isn\u2019t a popular choice.\u00a0 They are expensive and vehicles are more capable or can\u2019t tow at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/85GM3500.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/85GM3500.jpg 640w, https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/85GM3500-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption>On the Road.  1975 12&#8242; 2005 8.5&#8242; camper<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>My love of boating determined my RV choices over the years.\u00a0 I really enjoyed the truck &amp; slide-in camper.\u00a0 It allowed me to tow a boat.\u00a0 The issue with the truck campers is it takes a lot of truck to carry a camper.\u00a0 I have used more truck campers than any other RV.\u00a0 Even the smallest campers are a lot for a \u00be ton truck.\u00a0 Really a 1 ton is the truck for a camper.\u00a0 Today\u2019s truck campers with slide-outs even push the capability of a 1-ton truck.\u00a0 Owning a 1-ton truck is great when you are using it to go RVing but the rest of the year it is a liability.\u00a0 Expensive to operate and a pain to park as a daily driver.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Truck-Trailer-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Truck-Trailer-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Truck-Trailer-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Truck-Trailer-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Truck-Trailer.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>2007 Chev 1500 &#038; 19&#8242; Trailer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2007, I traded the diesel truck for a \u00bd ton truck.\u00a0 The best value for the RV dollar.\u00a0 The \u00bd ton with a travel trailer is hard to beat.\u00a0 My love of boating transitioned to a canoe then the aluminium boat.\u00a0 I really enjoyed not having a big boat to look after.\u00a0 The canoe or aluminum boat made smaller quieter lakes assessable.\u00a0 I got tired of the antics of busy boat launches and large power boats.\u00a0 The 1\/2ton truck with travel trailer is the most versatile and affordable of RV packages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2747.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-131\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2747.jpg 640w, https:\/\/rvsystems.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/IMG_2747-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption>2007 Chev 1500 w\/ Boat loader and 24&#8242;
